Type specimen: CMT 12559/1, a partial skull (incomplete cranium with periotic bones and tympanic bullae). Its type locality is Kamysh-Burun district mine, quarry E, which is in a Tortonian coastal horizon in the Blinovo Formation of Ukraine.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Kamysh-Burun district mine, quarry E
