Type specimen: NMRA 10623/3, a partial skull (2 braincase fragments). Its type locality is HEPS, which is in a Tortonian deep-water siltstone in the Blinovo Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at HEPS
