Type specimen: 9.229, a maxilla (Partial left maxilla). Its type locality is Mazaterón, which is in a Bartonian lacustrine marl/sandstone in the Mazaterón Formation of Spain.
Ecology: ground dwelling frugivore-folivore
Distribution: found only at Mazaterón
