Type specimen: NM 1484/C. 3016, a skeleton. Its type locality is Zeekoeigat, Venterstad, which is in an Induan/Olenekian terrestrial horizon in South Africa.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Zeekoeigat, Venterstad
