Type specimens:

  • Chasmatosuchus magnus: PIN 951/65, a set of vertebrae (Cervical vertebra). Its type locality is Rassypnaya locality, PIN 951, which is in an Olenekian terrestrial sandstone/sandstone in the Petropavlovka Formation of the Russian Federation.
  • Gamosaurus lozovskii: PIN 3361/13, a set of vertebrae (Cervical vertebra). Its type locality is Zheshart, which is in an Olenekian terrestrial horizon in the Yarenskian Formation of the Russian Federation.
