Sister taxon: Heterocoryphodon yuntongi
Type specimen: IVPP V5145, a partial skull. Its type locality is Dahupo, near Zhangwan Village, which is in an Eocene fluvial-lacustrine limestone in the Yuhuangding Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Dahupo, near Zhangwan Village
