Sister taxa: Lophiotherium cervulum, Lophiotherium geiseltalensis, Lophiotherium siderolithicum
Type specimen: FSL 5182, a partial skull. Its type locality is Robiac-Nord, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial horizon in France.
Ecology: ground dwelling frugivore-folivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of France (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
