Sister taxon: Armadillidium molassicum

Type specimen: BSIP 38375. Its type locality is Payangadi Clay Mines, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial amber in the Warkalli Formation of India.

Ecology: epifaunal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Payangadi Clay Mines
