Sister taxon: Desmatochelys lowii
Type specimen: FCG–CBP 01, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Loma La Catalina - middle Paja, which is in a Barremian/Aptian marine limestone in the Paja Formation of Colombia.
Ecology: aquatic omnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Colombia (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
