Belongs to Merycobunodon according to P. C. Murphey and T. S. Kelly 2017

Sister taxon: Merycobunodon littoralis

Type specimen: UCM 67888, a tooth (right M1 or M2). Its type locality is Donna's Locality, which is in an Uintan terrestrial claystone in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling browser

Distribution: found only at Donna's Locality
