Belongs to Crotalocephalus according to B. D. E. Chatterton and A. J. Wright 1986

Sister taxa: Cerauroides elongatus, Cerauroides orientalis

Type specimen: AMF 65384, a pygidium. Its type locality is Flirtation Hill, which is in a Zlichovian/Daleje marine limestone in Australia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Flirtation Hill
