Sister taxa: Pomatotrema fecunda, Pomatotrema inconspicuum, Pomatotrema orbicularis, Pomatotrema transversum

Type specimen: USNM 1703a-g, a shell. Its type locality is about 4 miles east of Hennepin, which is in a Cassinian carbonate limestone in the West Spring Creek Formation of Oklahoma.

Distribution:

• Ordovician of United States (2: Oklahoma, Tennessee collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
