Sister taxa: Protictitherium cingulatum, Protictitherium crassum, Protictitherium gaillardi, Protictitherium llopisi, Protictitherium punicum

Type specimen: RPl-69, a maxilla (Right maxillary fragment with C-M2). Its type locality is Ravin de la Pluie, which is in a Vallesian terrestrial sandstone/gravel in the Nea Messimvria Formation of Greece.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Ravin de la Pluie
