Type specimen: V.88.1,, a tooth ( a left lower m2 ). Its type locality is Settlement Mashpaya, Nuevo Eden, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in Peru.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Settlement Mashpaya, Nuevo Eden
