Type specimen: UCMP 555211, a valve (right valve). Its type locality is USGS loc. 15385=UCMP IP1720, Katalla 1, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in the Kulthieth Formation of Alaska.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Oligocene of United States (3: Alaska collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
