Sister taxa: Amyzon brevipinne, Amyzon commune, Amyzon fusiforme, Amyzon mentale, Amyzon pandatum
Type specimen: UW 11578, a skeleton. Its type locality is 11 km NNE of Green River, which is in a Lutetian terrestrial horizon in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: nektonic omnivore

• Eocene of United States (2: Wyoming collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
