Sister taxa: Gallicolumba longitarsus, Gallicolumba luzonica, Gallicolumba nui
Type specimen: MNZ S40789, a limb element (tarsometarsus). Its type locality is Henderson Island, site 5, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Pitcairn.
Ecology: volant frugivore-granivore
Distribution:
• Quaternary of Pitcairn (12 collections)
Total: 12 collections each including a single occurrence
