Sister taxa: Nesoenas duboisi, Nesoenas mayeri, Nesoenas rodericana
Type specimen: FLMR R2107, a set of limb elements (right tarsometatarsus). Its type locality is VGP1 cave, Vieux Grand Port, which is in a Holocene cave carbonate in Mauritius.
Ecology: volant frugivore-granivore
Distribution:
• Quaternary of Mauritius (4 collections)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
