Sister taxon: Phosphorosaurus ortliebi
Type specimen: HMG-1528, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Pankerusano-sawa Creek (Locality A), which is in a Maastrichtian marine carbonate in the Hakobuchi Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Pankerusano-sawa Creek (Locality A)
