Type specimen: MCMa 2002.016, a mandible. Its type locality is Furna do Calcinhas cave, Ilha da Graciosa, Azores, which is in a Holocene cave siliciclastic in Portugal.

Distribution: found only at Furna do Calcinhas cave, Ilha da Graciosa, Azores
