Sister taxa: Dytremacephalus asperaxis, Dytremacephalus laevis, Dytremacephalus strictus

Type specimen: USNM 123319, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is USGS Coll. 11-CO, which is in a Paibian marine sandstone/limestone in the Riley Formation of Texas.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution:

• Cambrian of United States (7: Nevada, Nevada and Utah, Texas collections)

Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
