Type specimen: USNM 563449. Its type locality is Eniwetok atoll, core E1, 2500-2510ft, which is in a Chattian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Marshall Islands.

Ecology: slow-moving semi-infaunal detritivore
