Type specimen: NMNZ S.47667, a limb element (right tarsometatarsus, broken through the foramen distale and lacking all trochleae). Its type locality is Onemea Site TAR-6, layer II, which is in a Holocene terrestrial sandstone in French Polynesia.

Ecology: volant frugivore-granivore
