Sister taxa: Dinopolus atrox, Jonkeria haughtoni, Jonkeria ingens, Jonkeria koupensis, Jonkeria rossouwi, Jonkeria truculenta, Jonkeria vanderbyli, Dinophoneus ingens
Type specimen: Its type locality is Saairivier, which is in a Capitanian terrestrial horizon in South Africa
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Saairivier
