Belongs to Stoppaniceras according to A. Vörös 2018
Sister taxa: Stoppaniceras budaii, Stoppaniceras ellipticum, Stoppaniceras evolutum, Stoppaniceras hermanni, Stoppaniceras rieberi
Type specimen: Its type locality is Point 902, Monte San Giorgio, Bed 61, which is in an Illyrian marine dolomite in the Besano Formation of Switzerland
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of Hungary (3 collections), Switzerland (1)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
