Belongs to Stoppaniceras according to A. Vörös 2018
Sister taxa: Stoppaniceras budaii, Stoppaniceras ellipticum, Stoppaniceras evolutum, Stoppaniceras rieberi, Stoppaniceras variabile
Type specimen: HNHM M.98.16, a shell. Its type locality is Vászoly P-11a, bed 16A, which is in an Illyrian marine limestone in the Dorgicse Formation of Hungary.
