Belongs to Waijiaoella according to Stiller and Chen 2006
Sister taxon: Waijiaoella speciosa
Type specimen: NIGPAS 137016. Its type locality is Leidapo/Bangtoupo, Qingyan, which is in an Anisian open shallow subtidal mudstone/mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Qingyan Formation of China.
Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Triassic of China (2 collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
