Type specimen: Geological Museum of China, Beijing, IVy0442. Its type locality is Mengga, Luxi, which is in a Jurassic marine horizon in the Longhai Formation of China.
Ecology: fast-moving shallow infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Mengga, Luxi
