Type specimen: IGPS 73719. Its type locality is Myogane-zaki, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene marine horizon in the Komayama Formation of Japan.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer-deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at Myogane-zaki
