Type specimen: MACN 8323, a skull (almost complete skull and mandible). Its type locality is Santa Maria Valley Andalhuala Fm, which is in a Montehermosan/Chapadmalalan terrestrial horizon in the Andalhuala Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling frugivore-folivore

Distribution:

• Pliocene of Argentina (2 collections)

• Huayquerian of Argentina (3)

• Miocene of Argentina (1)

Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
