Type specimen: GSM Bj 1557, a valve. Its type locality is Stowell Park borehole (H. serpentinum Zone, H. exaratum Subzone, 706-720ft), which is in a Toarcian marine shale in the Upper Lias Formation of the United Kingdom.

Ecology: facultatively mobile low-level epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Stowell Park borehole (H. serpentinum Zone, H. exaratum Subzone, 706-720ft)
