Type specimen: Duke-MNHN CH89-109, a mandible (lower jaw and partial skeleton including mandibular symphysis and left ramus, with right 11 _3 , C, and P1, and left l1 -3, C, P 1 . 4 , and M1 . 3 ;). Its type locality is Río Frías, which is in a Friasian terrestrial horizon in the Río Frías Formation of Chile.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Río Frías
