Type specimen: JUE 15858, a shell. Its type locality is Kuroiwa, which is in a Serravallian deep-water horizon in the Ogaya Formation of Japan.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Kuroiwa
