Sister taxon: Triassurella carnica
Type specimen: USNM 538733, a shell. Its type locality is UCMP A-7308, Bear Creek, which is in a Valanginian deep-water carbonate in the Crack Canyon Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at UCMP A-7308, Bear Creek
