Type specimen: CAS v5918. Its type locality is Domengine Reef, which is in an Eocene marine sandstone in the Mabury Formation of California.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal photosymbiotic-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Domengine Reef
