Type specimen: CAPPA/UFSM 0226, a mandible (left dentary missing the posterior part, with an almost complete dentition). Its type locality is Faxinal do Soturno, Linha São Luiz, which is in a Norian fluvial siltstone/sandstone in the Caturrita Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Faxinal do Soturno, Linha São Luiz
