Type specimen: GMNH-PV-3463, a partial skull (with isolated left tympa- nic bulla and single tooth firmly attached to the cranium). Its type locality is Usui River, which is in a Tortonian marine horizon in the Haraichi Formation of Japan.
Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Usui River
