Belongs to Calyptocephalella according to P. Muzzopappa et al. 2021
Sister taxa: Calyptocephalella canqueli, Calyptocephalella gayi
Type specimen: MPEF 3003, a skeleton (Almost complete but disarticulated skeleton preserved in an avian gastric pellet). Its type locality is Punta Peligro, which is in a Danian mire/swamp claystone/conglomerate in the Salamanca Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: amphibious carnivore
Distribution: found only at Punta Peligro
