Type specimens:

  • Nanaimoteuthis jeletzkyi: CDM2006.1.1, an other (lower jaw). Its type locality is West side of Inland Highway (locality 2), which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in the Pender Formation of Canada.
  • Paleocirroteuthis pacifica: CDM2006.2.1, an other (lower jaw). Its type locality is West side of Inland Highway (locality 1), which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in the Pender Formation of Canada.

Ecology: fast-moving nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Canada (2: British Columbia collections), Japan (5)

Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
