Sister taxa: Pteroscyllium hermani, Pteroscyllium lamranii, Pteroscyllium nolfi, Pteroscyllium signeuxi, Pteroscyllium speetonensis
Type specimen: LIVCM 1998.20.BL, a tooth. Its type locality is Sample WC1, Speeton, which is in an Albian offshore marl in the Hunstanton Formation of the United Kingdom.
