Sister taxa: Munseyella costaevermiculatus, Munseyella laurea, Munseyella minima, Munseyella pseudobrevis
Type specimen: CAS 10485. Its type locality is Fig Tree Gulch, Marysville Buttes, which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine claystone in the Capay Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer
Distribution: found only at Fig Tree Gulch, Marysville Buttes
