Sister taxon: Aphaurosuchus kaiju
Type specimen: LPRP 0697, a skeleton (almost complete skeleton). Its type locality is Fazenda Furnas (Jales), which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: carnivore
Distribution: found only at Fazenda Furnas (Jales)
