Type specimen: NMMNH P-71523, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Locality 345, Kinney brick quarry, which is in a Kasimovian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Wild Cow Formation of New Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Locality 345, Kinney brick quarry
