Sister taxon: Luganoia lepidosteoides
Type specimen: IVPP V 25693, a skeleton. Its type locality is Xiemi, Wusha, Xingyi, which is in a Longobardian marine horizon in the Falang Formation of China.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Xiemi, Wusha, Xingyi
