Sister taxon: Gladiopycnodus byrnei
Type specimen: CLC S-393, a skeleton. Its type locality is Haqel (Capasso collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.
Ecology: nektonic durophage-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Haqel (Capasso collection)
