Type specimen: Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, 37692. Its type locality is Mahendra Highway between Barghat and Dumkibas, which is in a Miocene fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Binai Khola Formation of Nepal.

Distribution: found only at Mahendra Highway between Barghat and Dumkibas
