Type specimens:

  • Cimolodon nitidus: Its type locality is Hatcher No1 (UCMP V-5003), which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.
  • Allacodon rarus: USNM 2144, a tooth (upper premolar).
  • Halodon serratus: YPM 11811, a tooth (P4). Its type locality is Hatcher No. 1 (UCMP V-5003), which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming.
  • Nanomys minutus: YPM 11855, a tooth (M2).

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

• Cretaceous of Canada (9: Alberta, Saskatchewan collections), United States (59: Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming)
