Type specimen: USNM 12412, a partial skull (skull with incomplete dentition and lacking bullae and zygomatic arches). Its type locality is Cumberland Cave, which is in an Irvingtonian cave horizon in Maryland.

Ecology: volant omnivore

Distribution: found only at Cumberland Cave
