Type specimen: Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, NF 216, a wood. Its type locality is Nanfeng Coal Mine, Xianfeng, which is in a Miocene fluvial coal/mudstone in the Xiaolongtan Formation of China.

Distribution: found only at Nanfeng Coal Mine, Xianfeng
