Type specimen: CPC 16930, thin section 73426062, coordinates 29.2x120.7. Its type locality is W-Fold deposit, borehole WF 13, 253.5 m depth, which is in a Statherian basinal (siliciclastic) shale in the Barney Creek Formation of Australia.
